换妻探花 celebrates the class of 2024

Over 1,000 graduates are expected to cross the stage during four convocation ceremonies taking place over two days at 换妻探花鈥檚 Interurban campus.

鈥淐onvocation is a time of celebration as we honour the outstanding accomplishments of every graduate,鈥 says college president Dr. Lane Trotter. 鈥淚t鈥檚 important to acknowledge the faculty and support staff who supported graduates through to the finish line as well as the friends, family and champions of each student. Congratulations!鈥

The theme for convocation 2024 is You Always Belong Here, a reminder for grads that there is a place for them at 换妻探花 beyond the conclusion of their courses and programs.

鈥淐amosun convocation is an incredible day of celebration, achievement and excitement,鈥 says Prince Solanki, 换妻探花 Student Society external executive. 鈥淎s we celebrate our achievements, we also recognize the responsibility that comes with our education. It's our duty to make a positive impact in the world, whether through further education, joining the workforce or contributing to our communities.鈥

Four ceremonies will take place over two days in the PISE gym located on the Interurban campus and include the presentation of six awards.

Recognizing academic excellence

Four 换妻探花 students will receive Governor General鈥檚 Collegiate Bronze Medal Awards, recognizing their exceptional academic accomplishments in earning the highest overall grade point average (GPA) from a diploma-level post-secondary college program.

  • Hayley Andrews 鈥 Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology 鈥 Marine and Industrial Co-operative Education Designation, School of Trades and Technology
  • Sophie Buck 鈥 Diploma in Early Learning and Care, School of Health and Human Services
  • Sharon Ofiaza 鈥 Diploma in Practical Nursing, School of Health and Human Services
  • Maisie Starkey 鈥 Diploma in Early Learning and Care, School of Health and Human Services

More than 2,000 students will graduate from Camosun this year with approximately 1,000 attending convocation. 换妻探花 has over 70,000 alumni living and working on Vancouver Island and beyond.
