̽ will be hosting several events to raise awareness about the importance of consent during Consent Awareness Week, Sept. 16 – 20, 2024.
Organized by Camosun’s Office of Student Support, the week will feature events that will help increase students, faculty and staff awareness about the importance of consent.
“These inclusive, educational and fun events are meant to promote the consent culture at Camosun,” says Laura Mitchell, Director of Student Affairs, at ̽. “It’s about creating an ongoing, respectful, and safe environment for everyone.”
Events include a Drag Brunch featuring a pancake breakfast with performances from a number of local drag artists and Fries for Consent, a quiz event that has participants competing for free fries.
Throughout the week there will be information shared by the Office of Student Support staff in-person and through ̽’s social media channels.
