Community Resources

As an institution of higher learning, we welcome folks to engage in respectful discourse with each other. However, wherever humans interact, people can be harmed intentionally or unintentionally. Camosun has several resources for support for students and employees who might experience discrimination, harassment, bullying or other violations of their rights.

Student Resources

  • Sexual Violence Support & Education: Support for campus members impacted by sexual or gender-based violence.
  • Mental Health and Wellbeing: Support for mental, physical, emotional, cognitive, and environmental well-being.
  • Centre for Accessible Learning:CAL coordinates academic accommodations and provides related programs and services to students with documented disabilities.
  • Office of Student Support:The Office of Student Support (OSS) works collaboratively with students, staff, faculty and community partners to ensure a safe and respectful campus learning environment for student success.
  • Office of the Ombudsperson:The Office is a safe place for students to voice and clarify concerns and complaints. The Ombudsperson advocates for fairness and helps you to achieve equitable resolutions.
  • :The CCSS is an incorporated society and is independent from ̽. The society has grown to offer many programs and services to students, including the U-Pass, Health & Dental plans, Foodbank, Clubs, Walk Safer, Student Collectives, and many more.
  • Counselling:Camosun’s team of professional counsellors are here to support students be successful and stay healthy during their time at Camosun.

Employee Resources

  • Camosun Human Resources:Some of the services the Human Resources department provides to the employees and workplace leaders of ̽ include recruitment and hiring support, health and wellbeing, professional HR advice, labour relations, employment equity and diversity consulting, new employee onboarding and orientation support, leaves, retirements and vacation advice and support, disability support and return-to-work planning
  • :Homewood Health provides Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP) services that help individuals lead a healthy lifestyle. Homewood’s services include counselling, coaching, e-learning, online resources, and many more.
